Wear protection

Ceramic compound materials / Impregnations / Composite armour plating / Special platings

Many companies have already recognised that investment in the surface protection of machinery and plant can significantly reduce maintenance and repair costs. The comparatively lower cost of preventative protection can be set against major savings, as idle times are reduced and thus productivity can be hugely increased. The regeneration of worn machine parts and also the preventative plating of new parts are our core business - therefore take advantage of our many years of knowledge and experience in the most diverse industries!

Ceramic composite materials / nanoseal

Ceramic compound materials are wear protection materials, which consist of a 2-component polymer matrix phase and a reinforcing phase made of different fillers. They are used in the repair and maintenance of machinery and as a construction material in machine construction. The coating materials are developed and produced in Germany, following intensive development work on the part of the Rehart partner, Jeln (www.jeln.de) to meet the customer's specific requirements.

nanoseal coatings come with special properties: extreme wear resistance, excellent chemical resistance even to concentrated acids, solvent resistance, impact resistance, elasticity, anti-adhesion properties, anti-static, anti-slip properties for flooring etc. The latter is also available in a version resistant to temperature change, which can be used in cold stores.

In this respect, we would also like to mention the different certifications, such as Potable water certification, Food certification and Nuclear power station certification, which we have received over recent years for our individual coatings.

Please find more information about our certifications at info@$rehart@.group.com.%spam.rehart-thueringen.de

The material will be primed, cast, painted or sprayed depending on what is required. The customer can work with nanoseal himself or have it applied by our service team. Pre-tests in the form of test coatings guarantee the choice of the right material. nanoseal products are also available as impregnations.

Benefits:

  • Excellent wear resistance by ceramic reinforcement
  • Expansion coefficient similar to that of steel
  • Best possible corrosion protection
  • Optimum adhesion to the surface
  • Improved pressure resistance and tensile strength
  • Tension-free curing as no solvent evaporates.

Impregnations

Impregnations are primarily used in foundries with thermal spraying and rapid prototyping. With an application thickness of only 5-10 my,  they have a capillary action and are therefore also known as a sealant. Small pores and bubbles are sealed and a sealed film is formed on the surface. Wherever materials have to be protected and sealed, impregnations are the first finish of choice.

We use nanoseal for impregnation, a single-component, solvent-free and water-based impregnation - developed by our partner Jeln (www.jeln.de), and which has been tested and proved itself in practice many times over.

Many projects completed with large companies speak for themselves: nanoseal has many strengths in use:

  • Simple to apply: minimal equipment needed and simple to mix. nanoseal impregnations can be painted or sprayed on.
  • No specialist machinery, such as compressors or vacuum equipment, is required.
  • TÜV-tested nanoseal guarantees quality and safety

If required, our experts can train your employees in "impregnation". Of course we can also carry out the impregnation ourselves on site.

REHART Composite armour plates RVP

REHART composite armour plates are self-supporting wear protection plate sections, which we can supply made to measure or supply as plates for further machining. With REHART composite armour plates, you are opting for an investment, which will pay for itself by your profitability. Three different product lines enable us to design a product to meet your specific requirements:

  • The Triboline range provides proven protection and guarantees safety with all of your wearing parts.

  • The Tribosin range with innovational sine welding structure stands out on account of its lasting wear protection and simple installation. The special design of our armour plates achieves the effect that the materials to be machined can also be used as wear protection and this provides optimum protection for the wearing parts. For service providers, Tribosin is especially attractive as there is very little waste when it is post-machined. The re-welding lines always intersect the flow direction of the material. This armour plate can also be used in any direction.

  • The Triboforce range is one of REHART's top products and provides maximum protection for parts subjected to major wear and tear.

Our RVP plates are used in:

  • Power stations / by energy suppliers
  • Cement industry
  • Mining and steel industries
  • Brick/tile, clay and ceramics industries
  • Porcelain industries
  • Glass and paper industries
  • Recycling industries
  • Local authorities
  • Agricultural engineering
  • Composting and biogas installations

REHART Special armour plating / Contract welding

Machines in the most diverse sectors of industry perform the toughest jobs every day. The abrasive and corrosive forces produced result in major wear and tear. Inaccuracies, high energy consumption and long down times of machines are the consequences in the medium-term.

REHART is waging war with abrasive and corrosive forces. Thanks to years of detailed work and experience, we are now able to regenerate all wearing parts with special platings and to provide preventative protection for new parts. With the use of specific welding materials, which are precisely coordinated to the most diverse requirements, we can decisively increase the lifespan of your wearing parts - a consequence of reduced abrasion and fewer impurities in the product.

We are able to select the most suitable process from the large number of welding processes available to us:

  • Autogenous flame spraying
  • Autogenous hard facing
  • MIG/MAG solid wire welding
  • MIG/MAG filling wire welding
  • WIG welding with cold wire
  • PTA welding (plasma)

We can also weld the following materials if required:

  • Tool steels
  • Manganese hard steels
  • Fe-Cr-C steels with chromium carbides
  • Co-based materials (stellites)
  • Ni-based materials
  • Tungsten carbide alloys

We can also machine parts provided by the customer, as well as new parts manufactured by us.
